Methodology & sources

Each tile shows the latest print, its change versus a month and a year earlier, and where it sits against its own 10-year history (the percentile is derived from a z-score against the 10-year mean). The Supply Chain Pressure composite averages the standardized readings of its component series; above average means more pressure (higher costs, tighter capacity).

Sources: FRED (BLS, Census, Federal Reserve), EIA, NY Fed GSCPI, Drewry, Freightos, Baltic Exchange and other public feeds, refreshed weekly by a scheduled pipeline. Each series carries its own last-observation date; the header shows when the pipeline last ran, and a banner appears if any source failed. Full histories are on the downloads page.
